We are very proud of our Board of Education Members after being recognized at the North Carolina School Boards Association Annual Conference in Greensboro, NC last week.
1) The entire board earned the Silver Bell Award after all members earned at least 12 clock hours of training between July 1 2023 and June 30 2024.
2) Our Board Chair, Lindsey Mooney and Board Member Chanta Rickard were awarded Certificates of Merit for accumulating between 31 to 100 hours of training during their tenure in our board.
3) Mr. Thomas Whitaker earned a Gold Award as he has accumulated 801 to 900 training hours in his tenure as our board of education member.
Congratulations to all of our Board of Education as they strive to stay on top of the knowledge and skills needed to run an effective and fiduciary responsible board of education for our school system!
